Iโ€™m proud of my small-town roots – they provided me with the foundation, curiosity, & confidence to venture out & see the world. Having spent almost 25 years in the education field, I worked for nearly 10 years at two public high schools in Tampa, Florida, before heading overseas. During 15 years abroad, Iโ€™ve taught a wide range of EFL & major content area courses & served in varying capacities at local & international colleges & universities in South Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, & now the Philippines. In the process, Iโ€™ve been fortunate to positively impact the lives of thousands of students & community members from across the globe & look forward to continuing that trend for years to come.

Iโ€™m incredibly proud & excited about what CELS offers our international students, not just through EFL instruction but also through the various opportunities they have to make real, lasting connections with local & international students alike. Not only will they use language in authentic & meaningful ways beyond the textbook & classroom, but just as importantly, they will have many opportunities to engage with the cultural side of language acquisition as well!

For fun, when Iโ€™m not studying, Iโ€™m eager to be outdoors, connecting with nature through travel, hiking, diving, skiing, camping, listening to live music, or simply relaxing with friends & family!
