Dorothea Dix says, “The duties of a teacher are neither few nor small, but they elevate the mind and give energy to the character.” Teaching is a challenging job for me because I have to educate the students’ minds and nurture them. However, being a teacher is rewarding, especially if you see your students learning and, at the same time, enjoying their class. It is heartwarming to see your students achieve their goals. Whenever I teach, I try to do my best to provide their needs with an engaging activity and, most importantly, a lesson they will see soon.

This is my second time in the ESL/EFL industry, and being part of LCIC is a great privilege. They give us opportunities and freedom to do something good that helps the student’s knowledge and enjoyment of their studies. This is true for students and instructors since they offer us a chance to think about what we can do and grow professionally with their guidance and help.

As a professional educator, I encourage myself to continue studying since learning is a continuous process. I am studying for my Masterโ€™s degree at Cebu Technological University, majoring in administration and supervision. It may not align with my bachelor’s degree today, but soon, I would also like to finish my master’s in alignment with my major. In God’s grace.
