I was in my 10th year of working in the electronics industry when my life was turned upside down due to the closure of the company that I was working for. Little did I know that it would lead me to a more suitable career.
Rather than being a dream, teaching has always been a passion, even before I started my college education. My passion is fueled by the faces of my dreamy, determined, and passionate students, seeing them graduate. . .It’s something that I feel gratified to do.
Teaching ESL/EFL is nothing new to me, as my first year of teaching was to various Asian and Russian nationals. Although brief, I gained a love of and passion for sharing my English language knowledge with non-English speakers, helping them realize their desire to learn the language. My path led me on a journey back to teaching international students. Joining LCIC is a blessing, as I get to continue following my passion and an excellent opportunity to work in an environment where the culture of empowering others is cultivated in each one of us. Aside from providing the teachers with a conducive teaching environment, the institution pushes each teacher to grow professionally by supporting continuing education and relevant training.
Despite my overwhelming roles as a wife, a teacher, and a student, I balance all of these and still give time to care for nine beautiful furry babies of different breeds. Their presence in my life is a blessing for which I take full responsibility. It is an integral part of my being to fully commit to my roles, especially in honing and molding students to their full potential so that they may empower themselves to empower others.
